Sur

The Sur are the Lodi line of Sher Shah, whose dynasty ruled Delhi from 1539 to 1555. They once lived at Tank and Rori and are now dispersed. The Makhzan-i Afghani traces Sher Shah's descent through Yunes and the Mahmudzai.

The genealogy follows the Makhzan-i Afghani and the Khulasat al-Ansab, as Caroe tabulates them. It records tradition: where sources place a tribe differently, the note above says so.
