The Wardak live in the Wardak country near Ghazni. The Makhzan-i Afghani names Vardak among the seven sons of Kodai and also traces the Wardak to Sayyid Muhammad Gisudaraz by a Karlanri wife, listing them among the Sayyids numbered with the Pathans.
