Fourteen Bangash men: nine sampled by the Afghan–Pakistan DNA Project, three sampled the year before and two private testers. The project notes that, unlike most Karlani tribes tested so far, the Bangash are not mainly G2b. Their largest line is T1a-M70, which has also been found among the Turi and Orakzai.

AfghanDNA's chart showed 17 Khattak men: L1a 7, R1a 5, G2b 3, Q1b 1, H1a 1. These counts are updated with results that Cyrus, a community geneticist, gave in October 2026: 10 men confirmed L1a2-M357 (the chart's L1a men, with more expected), G2b 4, R1a 5, Q1b 1, H1a 1, and one L1a1-M27 man from Nizampur. Clans, as reported by Cyrus and not yet part of the counts: Barak is mostly L1a2-M357, in a pattern like a founder effect, with some G2b; Saghri is G2b-M283 so far; Seni is under R1a and Q1b; Akorkhel (Northern Khattaks) is under R1a. Clan samples are very small, so treat these as early notes.

The Yusufzai Y-DNA chart posted by AfghanDNA on X: 299 men, 205 of them (69%) R1a, with the rest spread across many other lines. The chart is an image and gives no date, and it does not say where in the Yusufzai lands the men come from. It shows what has been tested so far, not a count of every Yusufzai.

AfghanDNA's updated chart for 104 Ghilzai Pashtuns. AfghanDNA says the Ghilzai are dominated by R1a-Z93, mostly the R1a-Y47 branch under YP1532, which it has found in no other Pashtun tribe so far, with some Pan-Pashtun R1a-YP1123 and some R1a-L657 around Kabul and Nangarhar. H1a is more common among the Ghilzai than in other Pashtun tribes, under several different branches, and L1a-Y17950 is common among the Kharoti Ghilzai.

AfghanDNA's chart for 166 Pamiri men. The Pamiris are Iranic-speaking mountain peoples of the Pamirs, and in some places they are hard to tell apart from Tajiks. AfghanDNA notes a high share of R1a, especially R-BY226207, which it sees as characteristic of the Pamirs, and G2b-Y12297, which it relates to the G2b-M283 line found among the Karlani Pashtuns.
