The Khetran are the people of Barkhan in Loralai. The Khulasat al-Ansab and Caroe place them among the descendants of Kasi, and the Loralai gazetteer describes them as of very mixed race, probably Jat in the majority.
The Loralai gazetteer records that some believe the Khetran an offshoot of the Kasi and others consider them of Baloch stock. The Makhzan-i Afghani's Kahtran, a grandson of Miana, may be the same name, but the identification is unconfirmed.
