Ancestor in the genealogy
Ghurghusht is the third son of Qais in the traditional genealogy. The Makhzan-i Afghani gives his sons as Dani, Babi and Mandu. His descendants, among them the Kakar, Panni, Safi and Mandokhel, hold Zhob, Pishin, Quetta, Loralai and parts of Kandahar.
The genealogy follows the Makhzan-i Afghani and the Khulasat al-Ansab, as Caroe tabulates them. It records tradition: where sources place a tribe differently, the note above says so.
