The Malizai are the Yusufzai of eastern Buner, Dir and the Panjkora. They include the Daulatzai, Chagharzai and Nurizai. The Khulasat al-Ansab's Matizai may be the same group, though the identification is unconfirmed.
The genealogy follows the Makhzan-i Afghani and the Khulasat al-Ansab, as Caroe tabulates them. It records tradition: where sources place a tribe differently, the note above says so.
