The Nasir are a nomadic tribe with no fixed country, wintering in the Derajat and spending the summer in the Ghilzai country. Elphinstone's account of them is the classic early description of the pawindah migrations.
The Nasir claim Hotak descent, but Rose records that the Hotak call them a Baloch clan.
The genealogy follows the Makhzan-i Afghani and the Khulasat al-Ansab, as Caroe tabulates them. It records tradition: where sources place a tribe differently, the note above says so.
