Tribe
لوڼي
The Luni are a tribe of Duki in Loralai, descended in tradition from Lorni, son of Miana. The Loralai gazetteer gives their divisions as Drugzai, Palao and Rakhanwal, records that they call themselves Durrani, and names the Laths and Patozai among them as aliens.
The Makhzan-i Afghani and the Loralai gazetteer place the Luni under Miana, but the Makhzan also lists a "Lon" among the sons of Panni in the Ghurghusht line.
The genealogy follows the Makhzan-i Afghani and the Khulasat al-Ansab, as Caroe tabulates them. It records tradition: where sources place a tribe differently, the note above says so.
