The Khugiani of Nangarhar live on the Safed Koh slopes around Gandamak and in Kunar, with some at Kandahar. The Khulasat al-Ansab traces them to Khoghi, son of Kodai, and lists his khels as Abd-ur-Rahman, Shirzad, Mandozai, Kharbari, Turi and Zazi. Bellew gives three divisions, Wazir (Laili), Kharbun and Sherzad.
Bellew and Longworth Dames place the Khugiani under Kakai, and Ibbetson calls their ancestor Khugiani son of Kakai. Rose reports that the Nangarhar Khugiani themselves claim Durrani origin, a claim the Durrani admit.

The Turi are the Shia tribe of upper Kurram around Parachinar. The Khulasat al-Ansab and Caroe count them as Karlanri through Khoghi, and Bellew gives five clans: Gundi, Ali, Mastu, Sarghali and Dopa.
The genealogy follows the Makhzan-i Afghani and the Khulasat al-Ansab, as Caroe tabulates them. It records tradition: where sources place a tribe differently, the note above says so.
