Tribe
داوي
The Dawi descend in tradition from Dawi, son of Dani, and live around Kandahar; Longworth Dames says they are mixed with the Kakar. The Makhzan-i Afghani gives Dawi's sons as Damar, Haniar and Khovandi.
The genealogy follows the Makhzan-i Afghani and the Khulasat al-Ansab, as Caroe tabulates them. It records tradition: where sources place a tribe differently, the note above says so.
